Who may not be a Sofwave candidate?
Sofwave should not be used over open wounds or lesions, severe or cystic acne, or pacemakers and electronic implants in the treatment area. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or skin disease, metal implants, medications, and recent procedures also require review. Tell Dr. Weiffenbach about prior fillers, since treatment directly over dermal fillers is not recommended by the manufacturer.
Does Sofwave reduce fat or replace a facelift?
Sofwave is not a fat reduction treatment and does not remove excess skin. It is intended for specific noninvasive wrinkle and lifting indications. Your consultation will address whether the degree of change you want is realistic with Sofwave.
Can Sofwave be combined with Fraxel or Sculptra?
Cortina offers Sofwave + Fraxel and Sofwave + Sculptra treatment plans. Dr. Weiffenbach confirms whether a combination is appropriate, the treatment areas, and how the treatments should be scheduled. Booking a consultation does not mean both treatments will be performed that day.
