Who may not be a candidate, and what risks are reviewed?
Active skin conditions or infection, cold sores, light sensitivity, certain medications, recent procedures, or a tendency toward excessive scarring may affect candidacy or timing. Share your full medication and medical history, including retinoid or isotretinoin use. Redness, swelling, dryness, itching, sensitivity, and discomfort can occur; rare pinpoint bleeding is also possible. Your consultation includes a review of the risks relevant to you. Do not stop prescribed medication unless your prescribing clinician directs you.
