What dermal fillers may address
Hyaluronic acid fillers are gels that add or restore volume in selected areas. At Cortina, consultation may include lips and lines around the mouth, cheeks and temples, chin and jawline, deeper facial folds, or under eye hollows. Not every product is appropriate or approved for every area; the cause of a line or shadow determines whether filler is suitable.
Dr. Weiffenbach considers your proportions, facial movement, prior filler, health history, and goals. A smaller amount, staged treatment, another option, or no treatment may be recommended. Explore other cosmetic services.
Dermal filler pricing
Prices are per syringe. A syringe is a pricing unit, not a recommendation; the selected product and amount determine the total. Cosmetic fillers are self pay and are not billed to insurance.

Results, recovery, and risks
A change may be visible immediately, but early swelling is not the final result. Bruising, redness, tenderness, pain, firmness, itching, and discoloration can occur. Many reactions improve over days to weeks; some last longer or appear later. Delayed inflammation, infection, or firm bumps may require treatment.
Results are temporary and vary by product, area, amount, and individual response. Follow your clinician’s instructions about exercise, sun, heat, and touching or massaging the area. Allow for visible swelling or bruising when planning around an important event.
Seek immediate medical attention for unusual pain, any vision change, skin turning white, gray, or blue, or stroke symptoms such as facial drooping, weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking or walking, severe headache, dizziness, or confusion during or shortly after treatment. Rarely, filler can enter or block a blood vessel, causing permanent skin injury, vision loss, blindness, or stroke.
Questions about treatment
What should I tell my clinician before treatment?
Discuss severe allergies, prior filler reactions, bleeding problems, cold sores, medicines and supplements, previous cosmetic treatments, and recent or planned dental work. Do not stop prescribed medication unless the prescribing clinician directs you to do so.
Who may need to postpone or avoid filler?
Treatment should wait if the area is inflamed or infected. Certain severe allergies, allergies to lidocaine or filler ingredients, and some bleeding disorders can make treatment inappropriate. Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established. Your clinician reviews the selected product’s precautions.
How many syringes will I need?
The amount depends on the treatment area, starting point, product, and desired change. A smaller first treatment or staged approach may be recommended. The complete price is reviewed before treatment.
Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved?
An additional enzyme treatment can often reduce hyaluronic acid filler, but complete removal may not be possible. Dissolving treatment has its own risks, so filler should be approached as a medical procedure rather than a change that can always be reversed.
Will I receive treatment during the consultation?
Treatment may be offered if appropriate, but it is not guaranteed. Dr. Weiffenbach’s $150 consultation fee is applied in full only when recommended treatment is performed during that same visit.
