Choose the Botox / Dysport Visit if you are already familiar with treatment or are returning for service. Choose the Botox / Dysport Consultation if you are new, unsure which option fits or want more guidance before deciding. Both begin with a clinical assessment.

The Botox / Dysport Consultation is $150. If treatment is recommended and performed during the same appointment, the full $150 is applied toward treatment. If treatment is not performed that day, the consultation remains $150. Treatment during the consultation is not guaranteed.

Both are prescription botulinum toxin type A products that temporarily reduce selected muscle activity. They are distinct products, their units cannot be directly compared or converted, and the appropriate choice depends on the treatment area, facial movement, prior response and clinical judgment.

Cortina commonly evaluates frown lines between the brows, forehead lines and crow’s feet. FDA approved cosmetic indications differ by product. Botox Cosmetic is approved in adults for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, lateral canthal lines, forehead lines and platysma bands associated with the relevant muscle activity. Dysport’s U.S. cosmetic indication is the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with procerus and corrugator muscle activity in adults younger than 65. The areas appropriate for you are determined during evaluation.

Treatment can be planned toward individualized, balanced softening while preserving appropriate expression. The result depends on your anatomy, movement, product, dose and response, so a particular appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Some patients notice early softening within several days, but onset and full effect differ by product and individual response. Results are temporary, and duration also varies by product, treatment area, dose and patient.

Discuss muscle or nerve conditions, swallowing or breathing problems, facial surgery or weakness, drooping eyelids, pregnancy or breastfeeding, all medicines and any botulinum toxin treatment received during the past 4 months. Do not receive Botox Cosmetic or Dysport if you have an infection at a planned injection site, a known allergy to any botulinum toxin product, or an allergy to an ingredient in the planned product. Dysport is also contraindicated in people with a known allergy to cow’s milk protein.

Possible effects vary by product and may include injection site discomfort or reaction, headache, eyelid or brow drooping, swelling, dry eye symptoms or vision changes. Botulinum toxin products also carry a warning about effects spreading beyond the injection area. Seek immediate medical care for trouble swallowing, speaking or breathing, generalized weakness, double or blurred vision, drooping eyelids, or other symptoms suggesting toxin spread.
